Recently at Sophie Sews we have been inundated with requests for bespoke cushions and re-upholstery services. It’s always so exciting to take on a new project incorporating our love for curtains and fabrics, with a client's dream of having furniture that compliments this perfectly.
If you have an old armchair or even a sofa that’s falling apart at the seams, but you just can’t bear to part with it, our reupholstery services may be exactly what you’re looking for. This lovely client gave us the chance to renew their gorgeous French style armchair in this beautiful Clarke & Clarke Martello velvet with cream piping. Grey upholstery works well in so many spaces due to its neutral tones, but a lovely contrasting piping will always add a touch of elegance to any piece of furniture.
Everyone has that one awkward space in their home they’re never quite sure what to do with. Whether it’s that little nook in your hallway, or that space that never gets used in your spare room, we love how often our clients' solution to this problem is a beautiful seating area. A simple box seat cushion can make any awkward space the perfect little reading nook and really utilises the space in your home. This beautiful box seat cushion with matching roman blind, upholstered in Art of the Loom fabric, really brought to life this space making it both lovely to look at and practical, the perfect combination!

Upholstered in Warwick Mallacoota Ocean which is an easy care fabric, we’ve brought a fresh new look to this outside lounging area with our re-upholstery service; meaning this lovely space is now ready for many more years of garden parties to come.

She has always had a passion for design, from spending as much time as possible in the textile studio at school, to studying Textile Design at university. Her knowledge of fabric and interiors has grown over the years, with prior experience in furniture design and room layout. Charlotte is able to combine all these skills to create wonderful ideas for curtains and blinds for all spaces, as well as advise on those finishing touches to make your house a home.
