This Surrey home has certainly been the largest project we’ve ever undertaken at Sophie Sews. With this beautiful 18th century family home compromising of ten bedrooms, three living rooms, multiple bathrooms and a ballroom! Our designs for each room were created with the ethos that the architecture and traditional character of the property had to be at the heart of every design. We aimed to create rooms which looked elegant, updated, but also functional for future generations to enjoy.

Our head designer Sophie started this project in the drinks room, creating a scheme including not only new curtains and pelmets which we’re well versed in, but also multiple pieces of new furniture, lighting and accessories that would work alongside antique pieces which had been passed down through the family.

Traditional patterns, colours and textures are all key features you’ll notice when flicking through the images of this beautiful home. We were extremely fortunate in being able to work with a large variety of world renowned brands, as well as lots of amazing local tradespeople with artisanal skills.
