Home Accessories To Suit Every Room

Since the start of 2022 we have enjoyed seeing the interior predictions for this year come to life. We’ve blogged about our most favourite trends for this summer, but now we want to show you the smaller home accessories taking the interiors world by storm!

Neutral Nature

Over the years we have seen an increase in the popularity of home accessories made of natural materials such as stone, wicker and marble. Beautifully crafted by nature therefore making each item unique, pieces such as our wicker basket lanterns encapsulate this trend perfectly.

Lanterns, hurricanes and candle holders are the easiest (and most often cheapest) way to bring a nature inspired touch into any space. Available in lots of different sizes and textures, a wicker lantern is both practical for providing the perfect ambient lighting for a garden dinner party, as well as looking beautiful when lit on a dark summer night.

Statement Lighting

Sometimes less is more and other times more is more! At Sophie Sews we have always loved a bold fabric and so it’s no surprise we’re in love with the home accessories trend of statement lighting.

Always eye-catching and never demur, a statement light such as our Allegra table lamp will sit bold and beautiful in any entrance hallway or master bedroom. Add to your statement table lamp a slightly softer lamp shade to balance things out, as this will also allow for you to play around with adding bolder interior pieces elsewhere.

Sculptural Vases

Whether your tastes are minimalist and neutral, or extravagant and dramatic, there are sculptural vases available for every interior style. Spotted in homes designed by Kelly Hoppen, sculptural vases are not only on trend but can add the perfect contemporary touch to any dining table, window cill, or sideboard.

Pictured here is our Farrah Textured Vase which encapsulates this style perfectly. With its carved lines looking as though a sculptor has taken to it with a chisel and hammer, it is a centre piece in its own right, but also works well when adorned with beautiful pink dahlia’s.
